ICOON for kids – a welcome poster for refugee children from preschool age
The poster shows things loved by children all over the world: animals, sports, clothes, food or hobbies are presented as colourful symbols with the corresponding German word in a child-friendly way. The poster emphasises the COMMUNITY between children who have fled to Germany and children who have lived here for a long time. It builds a positive emotional bridge between what was left behind and what is new, encourages remembrance and storytelling, and invites playful interaction with the German languages.
